The five golden senses Smell - Taste - Touch - Sight - Sound Awaken to Indri India's finest single malt whisky Situated in the catchment area of the river Yamuna, nestled in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas, sits Indri, a small village where our distillery is located. This verdant green is part of the food bowl of India. Our fields and malt maturing warehouse play host to the majestic Indian peacock that roams at will. The extreme temperatures of the nothern plains help our whisky to mature faster naturally, this also means that the angels happily take a huge share of the spirit. It, however, leaves us with an abundance of sweet tropical flavors and rich natural colour, creating unique and complex characters in each barrel. Tasting Notes Nose Gentle and mellow on the nose. Hints of black tea, caramelized pineapple with a whiff of oak comes forward, followed by vanilla and honey from the bourbon oak and traces of spiced tannins from the European oak, finally topped up with vinous raisin and sweet sherry notes. Palate Elegant richness, smooth and warm on the sides of the mouth. Gentle spice and wood characters come through, followed by nutty flavours and hints of burnt pineapple, citrus and raisins. Finish A subtle and balanced finish, each flavour compliments one another without dominating. A smooth finish with sweet fruity flavours coming up from the warmth of the throat, lingering long after. Master blender's note Trini, The three wood was conceptualised based on the individual contribution of each wood without overshadowing the original whisky profile which is light and fruity with sweet vanilla and spice, also a subtle nuttiness to chew on with a reasonably long finish.
