Viña Pomal Crianza is a Tempranillo red wine from Bodegas Bilbaínas, founded in 1901 in Haro, in the heart of Rioja Alta. Grown on the winery's own 90-hectare estate near the Ebro river, it's picota-cherry red with violet hues, showing violets, black fruit and liquorice alongside vanilla and toasted notes from 12 months in American oak (15% new barrels). Smooth, balanced and fresh on the palate, with soft tannins and good structure — pairs well with rice dishes, cheeses, pâtés, stews and traditional Rioja fare.
