Viña Pomal White Rioja 750ml 750ml

Viña Pomal Blanco is made from Rioja's traditional white varieties, Viura and Malvasía, from Bodegas Bilbaínas' own vineyards in Haro. After a brief 6-hour skin maceration and pressing, the must is fermented in new American and French oak barrels (50/50) and rests 4 months on its lees with gentle bâtonnage. Pale straw-yellow with steely highlights, it's fresh on the nose with citrus peel, chamomile, fennel and stone fruit framed by subtle oak toast, and pleasant and fresh on the palate with a fruity balance and light saline notes, finishing long and full-bodied.

Pale-yellow hues with a steely rim introduce us to the tasting of a fresh wine with aromas of citrus rind, chamomile, fennel and stone fruits encased in subtle toasty notes from the barrel. Pleasant and fresh on the palate, it conveys the balance of fruit with some saline hints. Good length and volume evince the finesse of the unique area where these white grape varieties grow.
